Training and development of our employees is one of SSL’s key business objectives. By providing development opportunities, which are available to all people throughout our organisation, we can help ensure that we are not only maximising their potential, but also the contribution they make to the business.
Examples of training and development programmes available are:
- Marketing & Brand Management – in conjunction with the ESSEC Business School in Paris, we have developed a programme to enhance business skills and develop networking skills of marketing managers around the business.
- Personal skills development – to improve competence within key skill areas
- Business awareness – to promote wider understanding of our business operations
- Lifestyle – to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle
- Continual training programmes in manufacturing environments – to ensure that we meet international standards throughout our manufacturing processes in terms of quality, environment and health and safety
Students Partnership Worldwide
Students Partnership Worldwide (‘SPW’) is a charitable organisation established to encourage young people to volunteer as peer educators in rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia to lead health and environmental programmes.

SSL is working with SPW to provide our employees with placement opportunities in these communities allowing them to channel their knowledge and expertise in areas such as marketing, finance and HR, to support new social marketing activities
