SSL International plc (“the Company”)

The Company has received notification, pursuant to Part VI of the Companies Act 1985,
that as at close of business on 19 July  2006, Prudential plc and certain of it’s subsidiaries
were interested in a total of 20,990,488   shares of the Company representing 11.0% of the
issued share capital.
