The Board of SSL International plc, the global manufacturer and distributor of premium healthcare products, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Garry Watts as Group Finance Director with effect from 5 February 2001.

Garry, age 44, was most recently an Executive Director of Celltech plc and Chief Executive of the International Trading Division of Celltech Medeva. Prior to the merger of Medeva PLC with Celltech plc in January 2000, he was Finance Director of Medeva PLC.

A Chartered Accountant, Garry was a partner with KPMG until 1995 where he operated as Head of the UK Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Medicines Control Agency.
