SSL International plc, the global manufacturer and distributor of premium healthcare products, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Alain Strasser as a Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.

Mr Strasser, age 53, has worked for both Anglo-Dutch and North American multi-nationals and his sector experience includes personal hygiene, consumer healthcare, food and pet food products. Mr. Strasser was educated at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, and he resides in France.

Commenting on the appointment of Alain Strasser, Stuart Wallis, Chairman, said 'Alain is a welcome addition to our Board, and we look forward to receiving the benefit of his international experience'.

Nicholas Hodges, formerly Chief Executive of London International Group, has agreed to remain as a Non-Executive Director until the Annual General Meeting in July 2001.

Paul Sanders, Group Finance Director, steps down from the Board on 1 December.

Iain Cater, Chief Executive said 'The search for a new Finance Director is proceeding to plan and the Board anticipates making an announcement early in the New Year'.
